Unlike traditional “link analysis” tools, which have little to no semantic intelligence, Semantica provides a structured representation of the constantly adapting and shifting relationships within and between dynamic threat networks.
With Relationship Analytics, the relationship is valued as highly as, or higher than, the entity itself. By analyzing the nature and types of relationships connecting entities, it is possible to quickly understand the fundamental nature of the target domain, uncover hidden connections and query based on the relationships between entity types.
Every domain has a language that defines it. Every entity has a “Type”, and has a set of relationships that bind it to every other entity in the ontology. A flexible ontology allows subject matter experts to easily extend the ontology, on the fly, as new information is uncovered. Templates define relationships required to accurately and consistently describe any entity type, and can be easily created, shared, and reveal intelligence gaps.
Analysts can now filter and prepare content for dissemination based on provenance, at the individual entity level, with just a few clicks. Semantica has industry-leading capabilities for automatic detection of classification in mixed networks and alerts the analyst to anomalous classification values. In addition to the CAPCO standards, analyst may define additional classification rules. Analysts may define any number of arbitrary provenance fields, which can then be used for dynamic filtering and in bibliography/citation reports.
Workflows automate repetitive and tedious actions. They reduce the time an analyst needs to spend on research and increase the time available for analysis. Semantica sets itself apart from other applications by enabling workflows to launch workflows that launch new workflows based on the results. Analysts can organize actions into logical building blocks and compose workflows that reduce days of effort to minutes.
Templates for any report format, includes provenance and custom provenance fields. Customized report formats are available upon request.
The integrated geospatial view can present data on 2D or 3D user-defined mapping environment. Data can be edited and expanded directly on the map through a common toolset and synced across one’s network. Temporal data can be ‘played back’ chronologically on either the network view or the geospatial view to clearly show order of events and temporal proximity.
Semantica Enterprise/Cloud can scale to nearly any size and number of networks. This makes possible very large-scale network analysis and investigation. Having this kind of scale turbo-charges data ingest, information retrieval and discovery.
Semantica does not hold your data hostage. Semantica can perform near-infinite ad-hoc queries and fuse the results – without requiring local copies of the authoritative data sets. The Semantica data can be exported freely via CSV, RDF, KML and XML file formats (Other, custom formats upon request).
Semantica has open APIs so that third party providers can easily interface with our framework and extend the functionality or integration points as desired. Semantic Research is known for the caliber of our professional services teams: we embed our engineers, trainers and analysts with customers so that we can help them respond immediately to changing requirements and data exploitation opportunities.
